How to be a good fleet member (Author: Hazri)

First a few words about me. I'm around running incursion for quite a while now and I started it when the agreement between armor and shield was put in place the first time. Incursions were up for longer than 4h and I really liked to socialize while making ISK. I began in a Basilisk and worked my may up through the sites. At some point I started to take the responsibilites of a logi commander as well and did it in all sites from Vanguards to Mothership. It was a fun experience, taught me many things about incursions and made my wallet happy at the same time. After a few weeks I decided to tryout DPS, too. First I just played drone and followed orders while learning the DPS side of incursions. At some point I just started to FC vanguard sites. It's fun and I really like to blizz sites and get awesome ISK. I FC'd Assaults as well, but while they are quite entertaining keeping a good assault fleet together and running is really hard. I still do it from time to time, but my main focus at the moment are Vanguard blizz fleets. That's basically it, about me. In the following guide I'll try to teach you a few things about being a good fleet member. Nothing is more painful for a FC, to have a fleet full of people who don't work together. If you want to keep your FC happy and the fleet rolling smoothly, read my guide and I hope it'll be useful.

I divided the guide into 4 main sections:

Every section will give you details on what a FC like myself is expecting from you. Additional I'll try to give you tips on how to improve and get into better fleets faster. Be advised though, this guide may contain personal bias and you shouldn't take it as carved in stone. If you have comments about anything or want to discuss/ask something, feel free to contact me. Furthermore I'll go into many details for Vanguard sites, but you should be able to use a lot of the stuff you'll learn in bigger sites, too.

Happy reading

OK, enough introduction talk. I hope you enjoy reading this guide and find some useful information.

Best regards
