Dropping fleet (Author: Hazri)

Checklist

  • After at least a 20-30 minutes notice.
  • Give the Logi, FC and DPS pilots a big thank you.
  • If you liked the FC, ask him about adding as Contact and future Convos.

After at least a 20-30 minutes notice

As stated already in the "Running sites" part of this guide, you should give the FC at least a 20-30 minutes warning, before you need to leave fleet. This gives him time to find a replacement and get him ready to get right into fleet and keep running.

Give the Logi, FC and DPS pilots a big thank you

Should be a matter of course, but always remember to give the Logi, FC and DPS pilots a big thank you, when you leave. They should have made you some nice ISK and it's the least you can do. Completely voluntarily and not very common are tips for FC, Logis and/or Offgrid-Boosters. Still if you liked their work, feel free to send them a few ISK (1-5M). Don't expect or try to claim anything though. Tips are a token gesture and everyone already got paid for the sites.

If you liked the FC, ask him about adding as Contact and future Convos

You might just think, adding a FC as contact and convo him in the future is ok and it might be, most of the time. Still, what I like is when people just ask me if they can add and convo me for future fleets. I'm fine with it by the way, but other FC might not take convos and instead run their own channel or they have a list of people they ask for fleet. You'll never know if you don't ask, every FC has it's own style. If you liked the FC's work, don't be afraid to ask him for future fleets. If you've done good he'll sort you out and tell you how he's running things.
